Flat Out Perfect

I love a great pair of heels but when I'm on the go...it's just too much to walk in them AND get things done. So I've rekindled my love for flats but not just any flats. Loafers are the best thing to have in your closet these days. They add comfort and character to your look. Studded, bright hues, leather, suede, brown, round, and pointed toes. Which ever the way the wind blows...you'll be in style and ready. Β

Prints on Nude

Today I finally got a chance to wear my faux leather pleated skirt. I've bee trying to wear it since I purchased it months ago in New York. Pleats can be tricky if you don't layer or tuck something properly. One way to avoid the school girl look is to pair the skirt with detailed heels or sandals and not Mary Janes or Baby Doll shoes. Pleats can also had weight so be mindful of the size of the pleats. Larger pleats add dept in the wrong places.

I also suggest that you pair tops with busy prints with a nude or simple toned bottom. Why? Well it can come off as a bit much if you don't match your prints correctly. Print on print is a current trend [yes] but that trend calls for concentration and confidence. It's not a look for everyone. If your style is more on the minimal side, start out with just one print like I'm wearing and work your way up the pattern ladder as time goes on. Β
